My name is Luisa and I am the founder of Rayito de Sol, a Spanish Immersion Preschool/kindergaten Early Learning Center and Language Academy.

Our program is designed to stimulate educational development in toddler, preschool and kindergarten age children through immersion in Spanish language and culture. The growing demand for global skills in business has given rise to unprecedented interest and growth in language development and proficiency. The earlier children learn a second language, the more proficient they become.

Originally from Lima-Perú. I have lived in Minnesota for 12 years. I have a degree in Journalism and Early Childhood Education from Garcilaso de la Vega University in Lima and 17 years of teaching experience with children age 6 months through 6 years.

My goal is to focus on educating children and sharing the wonders of Spanish, Latin America culture and multicultural education through Rayito de Sol Spanish Immersion Early Learning Center and Language Academy.

At Rayito de Sol children learn Spanish through experiences presented in a structured early childhood learning curriculum. Children who attend for two full years learn developmentally appropriate, functional use of the Spanish language.

Our academic learning experiences are highly interactive using music, art and cultural expression to enhance skill and retention. Our Spanish immersion approach has proven to be a unique and highly successful alternative to typical bilingual education and is conducted in a relaxed, creative and nurturing environment.

In addition to the traditional learning methods, Rayito de Sol has developed its own curriculum based on the Core Knowledge curriculum, which provides a great learning experience to your child.

The daily class schedule includes indoor and outdoor activities and theme-based structured learning activities, arts, singing, learning stations, play time, nap time, eating and other social and cultural activities, we do have every day enrichment activities as part of our curriculum like Latin dance, yoga and fitness (zumbakids) as every month activities such as piñata party. In addition, our class sizes are limited to enhance dialogue and improve retention. Classes are taught by highly qualified Spanish speaking teachers who are also proficient in English.
